How to install subscription software and assign users.
You can subscribe to a product through the Autodesk Store or an authorized Autodesk reseller. The confirmation email has instructions on signing in to your Autodesk Account where you can download and manage your software.
Note: The user who purchased the software is the contract manager or primary admin and is automatically assigned a license. If the admin will not be using the software, remove the assignment to make it available to another user.
Using Autodesk Account
Admins and assigned users download and manage their software in their personal Autodesk Account. To familiarize yourself with Autodesk Account, see the following:
Installing subscription software
Permissions to download, activate, and use subscription software are managed through your Autodesk Account. The process to download your software differs depending on whether you are an account administrator or an assigned user.
Adding and assigning users
Admins can add and assign users in their Autodesk Account. The assigned user receives an email with instructions on creating their own Autodesk Account where they can download their products.
The process of adding and assigning users varies depending on whether you manage users in the new view or the classic view.
Activating your software
When you start your software for the first time, sign in with your Autodesk ID or email to activate the product. For more information, see Run your software .

Renew your license
Verify whether you have selected the option to automatically renew on a monthly basis. This error indicates that the serial number used to install the software is not valid anymore. In some instances, a new serial number must be assigned.
