Issue:
After installing AutoCAD products, an internet connection is required. Is it possible to stop the AutoCAD products from connecting to the internet and work offline only?Causes:
Some AutoCAD products offered as a single-user subscription require an internet connection to activate:
- Named users must connect to the internet every 30 days and sign in to the product to verify that the subscription is still current.
- Users will receive a reminder 7 days before the sign-in deadline.
- Trial users: For download and installing the trial it is needed to be online. After the installation, you can stay offline until the end of the trial after 15 days.
Solution:
Disable the following services to reduce internet contact as much as possible:
- Online help (see FAQ: FAQ: Can I Disable the Online or Social Media Features of the Product?).
- Desktop Analytics (see How to enable or disable the Data Privacy Desktop Analytics Program in Autodesk Products).
- InfoCenter (see How to disable the InfoCenter in AutoCAD).
