Use the Multistory: Select Levels tool during stair creation to create a multistory stair on selected levels.
- Click Architecture tab
Circulation panel
(Stair), and create the desired stair component.
- Click Modify | Create Stair tab
Edit panel
(Multistory: Select Levels).
- If prompted, open an elevation view or a section view.
- Select levels to extend the stair.
For example, use a selection box or press and hold Ctrl while clicking the levels. Press Shift and click a level to deselect it.
The selected levels highlight, but you will not see the stair extended until you click Finish.
- On the Edit panel, for Align with, select to align the stairs by the Mid-Landing or the Run-Start point.
- Optional: On the Edit panel, click
(Edit Stairs) to return to creating the component-based stair.
- Click
(Finish).
The component-based stair is created and the multistory stair is generated on the selected levels.
Note: To modify an individual stair component that is part of a multistory stair, press Tab to highlight the level stair, and click to select it.
