Electrical Settings: General

Use the General pane of the Electrical Settings dialog to define basic parameters and set default values for electrical systems.

This pane allows you to specify the following parameters:

  • Electrical Connector Separator - Specifies the symbol used to separate rating values for the Electrical Data parameter for devices
  • Electrical Data Style - Specifies the style for the Electrical Data parameter on the Properties palette for electrical components:
    <Connector Description> <Voltage> / <Number of Poles> - <Load>
    <Connector Description> <Voltage> / <Phase> - <Load>
    <Voltage> / <Number of Poles> - <Load>
    <Voltage> / <Phase> - <Load>
  • Circuit Description - Specifies the format of the Circuit Description parameter in the instance properties of wire.
  • Circuit Naming by Phase - Phase Label (A, B, C) - These values are only used if you specify circuit naming by phase for the panel using the Properties palette. A, B, and C are the default values.
  • Capitalization for Load Names - Specifies the format of the Load Name parameter in the instance properties of circuits.
  • Circuit Sequence - Specifies the sequence in which power circuits are created, enabling creation of circuits grouped by phase.
  • Circuit Rating - Specifies the default rating when creating circuits in a model.
  • Circuit Path Offset - Specifies the default offset when generating a circuit path.
