Some new and changed features of Revit 2025 result in certain behaviors for upgraded models. Review this information before upgrading your models.
Electrical Analytical Elements
Electrical Analytical Elements in Revit 2025 have a new parameter "Distribution System". Models upgraded from previous versions will have this parameter set to <None>. When edited in the System Browser, the elements will display invalid connection warnings. In order to remove the warning condition, assign a value to the Distribution System parameter.
During file upgrade, schedules are created for electrical analytical elements with the Distribution System set to <None>. Use these schedules to help you assign distribution systems to these elements.

Macros
A new macro manager has replaced the legacy IDE for Revit. The new macro manager no longer supports file based macros. If you have file based macros, they must first be converted to application based macros before you can use them in files upgraded to Revit 2025. See Upgrade Revit Macros for information on how to convert file based macros to application based macros prior to upgrading.
Room Perimeter Calculations

Additionally, the method for calculating the perimeter of round rooms or room with arc segments has been enhanced to ensure greater accuracy.
Please note that when upgrading models from earlier versions of Revit, it is possible to observe changes in the perimeter values of rooms, depending on the geometry involved.
