Create a Decal Type

A decal type contains one of the following image types: BMP, JPG, JPEG, and PNG.

1. Click Insert tabLink panelDecal drop-down (Decal Types).
2. In the Decals Types dialog, click (Create new decal).
3. In the New Decal dialog, enter a name for the decal, and click OK.

   The Decal Types dialog displays the new decal name and its attributes.

4. For Image File, specify the file to use.

   Click (Browse) to navigate to the file. Revit supports image files of the following types: BMP, JPG, JPEG, and PNG.

5. Specify the remaining attributes of the decal.
6. Click OK.
