Several tools are available to manipulate, modify, and manage the way elements display in the drawing area.

  • Split Elements
    Cuts an element (such as a wall or pipe) at a selected point, or removes a segment between 2 points.
  • Split Elements with a Defined Gap

  • Split Walls Horizontally
    You can split a wall along a horizontal line in an elevation or a 3D view.
  • Split Faces
    The Split Face tool splits the selected face of the element; it does not change the structure of the element.
  • Apply a Material to the Face of an Element
    The Paint tool applies a material to the selected face of the element or family; it does not change the structure of the element.
  • Remove a Material from the Face of an Element
    The Remove Paint tool removes an applied material from the selected face of the element or family; it does not change the structure of the element.
