Learn how to export Buildingbook data into file formats for use outside of Revit.
- Click Quantification tab
Buildingbook Extension
(Calculate Building Part Quantities).
- (Design Web Format export only) In the Calculate Building Part Quantities dialog, under Generate Project Data per Material, select from the following:
- Generate Project Data per Material. Specifies project data for element materials will be calculated with the building part quantity
- Category Filter. Click the ellipsis to open the Project Data Categories Filter. Select Categories to include material data and click OK.
Note: Only generate project data if necessary. This has a significant effect on performance and visual clarity of the project due to the many generated Material IDs. - Under Export, specify:
- Export Format. Either MS Excel or CSV. (Use MS Excel for DWF exports).
- Export Template. (MS Excel only) Select from the project standard specific Excel templates.
- Include Picture. (MS Excel only) select to include thumbnail images of the door and window elements as part of the exported data.
- Click Calculate to create or update the building parts quantity data.
- Click Export.
- If exporting to DWF, click File tab
(Export (DWF/DWFx)) and export from the DWF Export Settings dialog.
