When you try to link topography data to your model, the following message displays: Revit is unable to link the topography data at this time.
This error may be the result of various issues, as follows.
Network connection issues prevent the topography data from downloading successfully.
- Check your network connection, and try again.
Desktop Connector isn't working. It may be in offline mode (not supported for linking topography) or closed, or it may have failed after you opened the Link Topography dialog.
- Check its status in the system tray, and check its diagnostic logs.
Topography data cannot be created. This issue may occur when the topography data does not contain expected information about surfaces.
- In
Autodesk Docs, navigate to its project and folder, and preview the topography. Does it display as expected?
If not, ask the civil engineer to use Civil 3D to publish the surfaces again.
Topography data isn't ready. It is still in the process of being converted from its source file, and it's not yet ready for use in the Revit model.
- Wait a few minutes, and try again.
- To check its status, in the system tray, right-click the Desktop Connector icon
, and click Pending Actions.
- You can also use Autodesk Docs to navigate to its project and folder. When the topography data is ready, it is listed in the folder, and you can select the topography to preview it.
