Issue:
You want to create a FLEXLM_TIMEOUT variable to increase the maximum time for finding a license file for an Autodesk product.
Solution:
- Go to the Windows Control Panel and search for "environment variables."
- Click Edit the system environment variables.
- In the System Properties dialog, select the Advanced tab.
- Click Environment Variables.
- Under System Variables, click New.
- For Variable name, enter FLEXLM_TIMEOUT.
- For Variable value, enter 3000000.
- Click OK.
The value 3000000 is in microseconds (it equals 3 seconds). You can increase the value if the server still times out. However, if you increase the value to 10000000 and still have a problem, the cause is probably not a timeout error.
