What is the LMTOOLS .log file and .rl file?

You want to know the difference between the LOG and RL log files

Solution:

The LOG file is the standard log file for Flexlm license behavior. It will report license usage or denials and is useful to audit and correct usage behaviors.

The RL file is an audit file used with the licensing tool "Sam Report Lite" that used to audit older versions of Autodesk Software. Sam Report Lite is no longer in use with Autodesk products.
