You are always in control
The Assistant is designed to support you, not replace your decision-making.
In products that support Autodesk Assistant actions:
- No autonomous actions. The Assistant only makes changes to your work when you ask it to or confirm its suggestions.
- Easy to undo. If you approve an action and change your mind, you can typically use your product's standard Undo function to revert changes.
How your data is handled
Protecting your work
Autodesk adheres to strict governance processes to protect your personal data and intellectual property. For details, see the Autodesk Trust Center.
What data is used
Autodesk Assistant uses:
- Your conversation — The questions you ask during your session
- Autodesk product documentation — Official help content from help.autodesk.com
- Your work — In some products, context from your model or design when you ask questions about your work
Prompt Library and Chat History
Your Prompt Library and Chat History are stored in the cloud and linked to your Autodesk account. Your prompts and conversations are available across any Autodesk product that supports the Assistant.
MCP servers and your data
The Assistant may connect to MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to access additional tools and data sources. These servers are provided by Autodesk and operate according to Autodesk's trust and privacy standards. For more information about MCP servers, see How Autodesk Assistant works.
AI transparency cards
For specific details about how AI features handle data, including information about model training, refer to the Autodesk AI transparency cards. These cards provide detailed information on functionality, data sources, and privacy safeguards for each AI feature.
