About Masses and Revit LT

You can use Revit LT to open a Revit project that contains masses.

To see masses in a view

1. Click View tabGraphics panel (Visibility/Graphics).
2. On the Model Categories tab, for Filter list, select Display categories from Revit and Revit LT.
3. In the Visibility column, select the check box for Mass.

In Revit LT, you can do the following:

• Add instances of a mass family that is loaded into the Revit project.
• Move masses and modify their shapes using shape handles.
• Use the Family Editor to modify the mass family.

However, you cannot do the following:

• Edit masses using the Edit tools.
• Create building elements (walls, floors, roofs, curtain walls) from mass faces.
• Create mass families.
