Symptom: I cannot move an element, and the following text is appended to the element name in the status bar: Pinned by shared positioning. Also, I cannot unpin the element.
Issue: This situation occurs when all of the following criteria are true:
- You are using Revit LT.
- The current project contains a link to a Revit model or a DWG model.
- The links use shared positioning.
Solution: You cannot use Revit LT to move or unpin elements that are pinned by shared positioning with linked models. To move the element, open the linked model in its original application. Then reload the link in Revit LT.
