Java
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) is needed for the creation of PDF documents in Autodesk Structural Bridge Design. JRE and JDK are software platforms from Oracle that allows a computer to run Java-based applications. See Java downloads for installation details.
Alternatively, OpenJDK can be installed, which is an open-source JDK distribution. A manageable way to install OpenJDK is to use Azul builds. Follow this link to get to the Downloads section of the Azul site.
If using OpenJDK, the path to the Java executable (java.exe) needs to be set on the Preferences form (General tab), For example, if the Azul Zulu Build of OpenJDK is installed, set the path to C:\Program Files\Zulu\zulu-00\bin
, where 00 is the major version of the installed build.
