Toolbar Customization Options

Description

Toolbars may be customized to contain those groups and icons that the user prefers.

The format, order and behavior of toolbars and drop-down menus may be modified.Outline Procedure

Right-clicking on any form's toolbar or menu bar brings up a 'Customization Menu'. For example:

The 'Customization Menu' lists all the current icon categories (one for every drop-down menu). Clicking on any one of the listed icon category names causes that category and its icons to toggle between visible and hidden in the toolbar. The category name in the list is checked if the category and its icons are visible. Neither the drop-down menus nor their list of commands are affected by these changes.

The penultimate item in the list is Customize. Left-clicking with the cursor over this item opens the 'Customize' Form.

The 'Customize' Form allows the user to modify the format and order of toolbars and drop-down menus. Each of the three pages may be displayed by left-clicking on the appropriate tab. Settings within each page may be modified and the result previewed.

The final item is Lock the Toolbars. Left-clicking with the cursor over this item toggles the toolbars (in the current menu/toolbar panel) between locked and unlocked. When the toolbars are locked they cannot be dragged or modified by inexperienced users.
