Licensing Information
Product Codes
Autodesk® CFD license files contain at least two increments.
The first, "SCDSE," is used for all Autodesk CFD licenses, and is the license required to use the Design Study Environment (the user interface). This license is automatically generated when you generate the solver license.
The second increment determines the functionality level CFD Premium, or CFD Ultimate. The corresponding license increments are given below:
Be sure to verify that your license file contains both increments. If it only contains SCDSE, you will be able to open the user interface, but you will not be able to run any simulations.
- Premium subscription holders have access to the motion solver capabilities in the cloud.
- Autodesk® CFD subscription users have access to the premium cloud solving technology.

- On the Adjust your computer's settings dialog, change the View by to either Large icons or Small icons.
- Click the System icon.
- From the menu on the left of the dialog, click Advanced system settings.
- On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables...
- From the System variables list, click on FLEXLM_TIMEOUT, and click Edit...
- Enter a larger value in the Variable value field.
- Click OK on each dialog to save the settings and close the respective dialog.
