Configure the Simulation Compute Manager daemon user
By default, the Simulation Compute Manager runs as an unprivileged local system user called scm. The user is added to your system as part of the rpm install process. Altering the name of the daemon user is not advised.
The Simulation Compute Manager user must have read/write access to the /var/opt/Autodesk/SimulationCompute directory to record its process ID.
Important: If you change the Simulation Compute Manager daemon user but re-use the Simulation Compute Manager temporary directory, you may need to manually remove any files in that directory owned by the old user.
