Perform the following steps to configure the Provisioner on a Windows system.

1. Modify the file ComputeProvisioner.config.json with Notepad++ or equivalent. The file location is

   C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\SimulationCompute\v<version number>\config\

   Note: You will need Administrator rights

2. Add the keyword –priority and the corresponding value for the different level of priority in the solver section of the JSON file.

   

   • The value "0" corresponds to Below Normal priority.
   • The value "1" corresponds to Normal priority. This is the default value.
   • The value "2" corresponds to Above Normal priority.

3. Press Windows + R to open the Run Command Window.

4. Type services.msc in the Run box, then click OK to open the Windows Service Manager.

5. Select the Autodesk Simulation Compute Manager for all versions of SCM and click Restart

6. In Synergy, start a job using the SCM Job Launch UI.

   Note: The priority feature does not support Command line or runstudy.

7. Open Task Manager, click Details tab.

8. Select the solver process, then click Select priority and verify the priority level.
