Issue:
- Looking to archive and export all data in a Flow Production Tracking (formerly known as ShotGrid) project.
- Is there a way to make a copy of a Flow Production Tracking site when done with it.
Solution:
There's no out-of-the-box or automated solution to export all site or project data from Flow Production Tracking. Additionally, site data cannot be imported back in one single process. Read the Importer documentation to learn more about bulk importing on entity pages.
Suggested workarounds:
- Use a script or custom AMI to gather media files on the different entity pages.
- Note: Flow Production Tracking is not meant for storing content. Customers are responsible for maintaining backup copies for all media.
- Manually download the metadata from the entities.
- Exporting CSV files with fields and columns visible on desired pages, such as:
- Assets page
- All Versions page
- Shots and Sequences pages
- Task Templates can also be exported
- The process will need to be repeated for each entity on the site.
- Exporting CSV files with fields and columns visible on desired pages, such as:
- Instead of downloading data, consider keeping the site active with one active seat.
- Note: Make sure the last active user is an Admin.
Note: Autodesk Flow Production Tracking is previously known as Autodesk ShotGrid.
