Tutorial: Linking Purchased Flow Production Tracking licenses to a Flow Production Tracking site
Admins handling the migration
There are three types of Administrators involved in handling the migration.
- Autodesk Subscription Admin
- These are Administrators on your Autodesk Account site that handle your subscription upon migrating.
- Legacy Shotgun Subscription Admin
- These were Administrators on the Account Center site that handle your subscription prior to migrating (note: the Account Center site has been decommissioned).
- Flow Production Tracking site Admin
- These are Administrators on your Flow Production Tracking site that have Admin permissions granted.
The migration of your Flow Production Tracking subscription will need to be handled by a Flow Production Tracking site Administrator or have Access Admin Functionality
enabled on their permission role.
Admins linking the site to your subscription
Linking the site to a valid Flow Production Tracking subscription can only be performed by a Primary or Secondary Administrator on the Account Portal.
This Administrator does not need to be an active user on the Flow Production Tracking site being linked to your subscription.
Every site has an allow-list of emails that can link the site to your subscription for security purposes. That allow-list will contain the email of the person who requested the site when a trial was done. If someone within Autodesk created the site initially, the email of the requestor will be the one on the allow-list.
Admins linking trial sites to your subscription
For trial sites, the email on the allow-list will be the initial Administrator on the site. Please contact support for any issues.

Migrating your Flow Production Tracking subscription
Monthly Subscription
If you paid for a monthly Flow Production Tracking subscription through the older Flow Production Tracking Account Center site, your subscription ended automatically on June 7th, 2021 (note: the Account Center site has been decommissioned). Once your subscription ends, you will need to buy a Flow Production Tracking subscription through the Autodesk eStore.
There is no service interruption. Your site continues to be accessible 30 days after your June renewal date. You must purchase a Flow Production Tracking subscription on the Autodesk eStore for your service to continue past this 30-day grace period. You will receive regular reminders and notifications until you've completed the transition.
If you don't purchase a new subscription and link your site to it by the end of the transition period, your Flow Production Tracking site will be suspended and decommissioned accordingly. If you have multiple sites, in order to be compliant, they all need to be linked to your subscription.
Other Types of Subscriptions
If your subscription was purchased outside of the older Flow Production Tracking eStore, the contract holder was contacted for the new subscription (look for an email sent between June 9th and July 19th).
You should have received an email from Autodesk to confirm your purchase as a result of your subscription being migrated.
Activating your Flow Production Tracking Subscription
Once your Flow Production Tracking purchased subscription is visible in your Autodesk Account, activate your subscription by doing one of the following:
- Link your subscription to an existing site; or
- Create a new site to begin working on new projects.
In both cases, the following is required for a successful activation:
- There must be a valid subscription: You must have a valid Flow Production Tracking subscription in your Autodesk Account. See Migrating your Flow Production Tracking subscription.
- Subscribing administrators must match on the subscription and Flow Production Tracking site: The administrator email addresses listed as Primary and Secondary on your subscription must match the Flow Production Tracking-Entitled administrator email addresses on your Flow Production Tracking site. Matching email addresses are required for activation. Tips for finding email addresses:
- For a Trial site: The email address is entered in the Trial Request form.
- For non-monthly Flow Production Tracking subscription: The site's owner email address registered at purchase time.
If you have a valid subscription and your site is not available for conversion, please contact support.
- Your Flow Production Tracking site has migrated to Autodesk Identity: Your site has completed its migration to using Autodesk Identity. For more details, see this article.
Once these requirements are met, you are ready to link your Flow Production Tracking site to your subscription.

Flow Production Tracking Subscriptions, Licensing and Teams
- For licensing, a Flow Production Tracking site will use the subscriptions from the team it was linked to.
- One site can only be linked to one team; however, a team can have many sites.
- All sites under the same team will get licenses from that team's subscriptions.
- A user active on multiple sites that are connected to the team will only require one license to access those sites.
- For token-flex, one user active on multiple sites on the same day will only use tokens one time for that day.
Bring-your-own-license
is not supported.

Troubleshooting
My subscription does not appear in All Products and Services
You must buy a new subscription in the Autodesk eStore. Once the purchase is done, you will receive a confirmation email shortly after. Your subscription is visible in All Products and Services after you have received the confirmation email.
Otherwise, your subscription was migrated automatically between June 9th and July 19th 2021. After July 19th, if you still don't see your subscription in All Products and Services, please contact our support team.
When I get to the Create Your Site dialog box, I do not see my Trial site
- If you created your Trial site on or after June 7th, there is no need to perform the Migrating to Autodesk process, as Autodesk Identity is already used for authentication on your site.
- The email you used when you created the Trial site must match either the Primary Admin or Secondary Admin email addresses on the subscription. You can either promote the user who created the trial site as a Secondary Admin at the time of the site conversion, or add the Primary or Secondary Admin to the list of Flow Production Tracking-Entitled Administrators by contacting support.
- If you still cannot see your site after following these instructions, please contact our support team.
When I get to the Create Your Site dialog box, I do not see my site
- You must complete the Migrating to Autodesk process before your site can become available to import. See Migrating Flow Production Tracking to Autodesk User Accounts (for Admins) for more details.
- If you have completed the Migrating to Autodesk process, the Primary Admin or Secondary Admin of your subscription must also be a Flow Production Tracking-Entitled Administrator. Please contact support if you need a list of Entitled Administrators.
