There are several ways to install languages for your products:
- Language drop-down menu. Some products let you select a language at installation time from the Product Language drop-down menu in the installer. If the language you want is not in this menu, you can install a language pack for it later.
- Language packs. A language pack is a software module that changes the language of the user interface and the documentation. With a language pack, a single installed product can support several languages. You can then switch from one language to another. Language packs for most products are available from the Products & Services page of Autodesk Account. If your product is on physical media, you can also find language packs there. You install them after you've installed the main product."
- Language Exchange. You can also exchange a product for one that runs in a different language. The language exchange is free. However, you can use the product only in the country in which you registered your license.
Note: Each suite installation uses a single language. To specify a different language for one or more suite products, install them separately, in another installation. Not all products in a suite support every language. If you select a language that some suite products don't support, those products use a default language.
Note: For each language pack you install, there is a shortcut in the Windows Start menu or on the desktop, such as "Inventor - French (Francais). You can use the Windows Uninstall control panel to remove language packs without uninstalling the product. However, you can't uninstall the default language of the product you installed.
Note: If you upgrade to a new product release, upgrade in the original language and then obtain a free language exchange again.
