Working with Packages in Takeoff
In Autodesk Takeoff, a package organizes and contains all takeoff data related to one scope of work in your estimation project. The concept of a package might be familiar to you as a ‘scope of work’ or ‘bid package.’ There can be multiple packages for a single construction project. Each package organizes the takeoff work relevant to its part of the project.
From the Packages tool, you can create a package for your project's takeoff or select a package to work with that has already been created.
In Takeoff, you'll perform takeoff for one specific package at a time. The takeoff inventory is the primary output of work done within a takeoff package.
Takeoff Snapshots
From Packages, you can also save a Takeoff snapshot. A Takeoff snapshot is a read-only, point-in-time capture of takeoff data that includes a project’s packages and their takeoff on the most recent versions of sheets and models.
