Assign an Upchain license to an Autodesk account

Once a user has been invited to create their Autodesk account, you must also assign them a license to use Upchain. The license to assign is one of:

  • Fusion Manage - Enterprise
  • Fusion Manage
  • Fusion Manage - Participant

This step is completed by an Autodesk Administrator.

Requirements

Before you can assign a license to use Upchain to a user, you must invite them to create their Autodesk account.

Assign a license to use Upchain

To assign a license to use Upchain to a user:

  1. Sign in to your Autodesk Administrator account.

  2. Navigate to User Management > By Product on the left side of the page.

  3. Select the license you want to assign to a user or group of users. For example, Fusion Manage. You’ll see how many licenses of each type have been assigned to your company.

  4. Click Assign users.

    The Assign users window opens.

  5. In the Assign tab, search for a user by name or email. Select the user for whom you want to assign an Upchain license. Repeat for as many users as you want to assign the license type.

  6. Click Assign.

The user is listed under the Assigned users list for the chosen license type.

The user now receives an email from Autodesk indicating that an Upchain license has been assigned to them. If they haven’t already, they should now accept the invitation to create their Autodesk account. Once users have been assigned the correct license, your Upchain Tenant Administrator can begin inviting them to an Upchain tenant.

Note: Users who will only have Viewer access to Upchain (including Suppliers who need access to the Supplier portal) do not need an Autodesk license assigned, but they must still create an Autodesk account.
