Edit purchased item attributes
If the item is a purchased type, then you may add the item's manufacturer details. These item types include:
- Purchased electrical part
- Purchased electromechanical part
- Purchased mechanical part
- Purchased phantom assembly
Purchased items have the following item attributes:
- Manufacturer
- Manufacturer Item Number
- Manufacturer Item Description
Your Tenant Administrator may enable the tenant property enable.manufacturer.on.all.item.types which adds these attributes to all items regardless of their type.
To add a manufacturer to an item, the manufacturer must already exist in your tenant. Ask your Tenant Administrator to add the manufacturer if you cannot find it in the list.
Note: To add a manufacturer item number, you must first select a manufacturer. You cannot save the manufacturer item number without a manufacturer specified as well.
To edit these attributes:
- With the model open in your CAD system, select the item to display it in the Item View (
). - Check out the item, if it is not already checked out to you.
- Select a value from the Manufacturer drop-down list.
- (Optional) Type in a value for the Manufacturer Item Number text field.
- (Optional) Type in a value for the Manufacturer Item Description text field.
The Recent Attribute Changes window appears and indicates that the attributes have been saved when the text turns black.
