Supplier: Complete a task

Your customer may have sent you an assignment to add or update item information or attach a new or updated version of a document. After you complete an assignment, you should mark it as complete so that your customer can be notified automatically in Upchain.

Note: Depending on the assignment or how the workflow has been configured, you may not be required to mark an assignment as complete.

To complete a task in the Supplier Portal:

  1. In the Item details pane of the Supplier Portal, open the Business processes tab documents tab.

  2. In your email notification, refer to the Type to see whether you should expand Requirements, Quality assurance, or Investigation requests (RFQ).

  3. Click the arrow icon arrow corresponding to the type of business process that has your assignment to expand that section.

  4. Click your assignment.

    A pop-up window opens to the Details Details tab tab of the business process.

  5. In the Details tab details icon, click the relevant action button.

The action buttons may vary based on how the business process's workflow is configured. For example, the action buttons could be Quote Complete, Reject Quote, Continue, or Finish WF.

After you click the appropriate button, the workflow continues and most likely notifies the appropriate user in Upchain that your task is complete.
