Generate a BOM report and an Item Details report

Reports enable you to pull item and BOM information out of Upchain and put it into a document to send to people in your organization or other outside parties who do not have access to your Upchain tenant.

  • The Item details report is a PDF containing key item attributes including item name, item number, description, material, and manufacturer details, and also includes a thumbnail of one specific item.
  • The BOM report is a spreadsheet containing key attributes for each item in the selected item's BOM including item number, kitting number, quantities, eBOM attributes, material, and manufacturer details.
Note: Your Tenant Administrator can configure customized version of these reports.
  1. In the BOM section of a project, select an item from the navigation pane to load it into the center view.

  2. (optional) Select one of the following BOM table filters. This filter only affects the BOM report.

    • As Saved - Lists the eBOM structure containing the specific item versions with which the eBOM was last checked into Upchain.
    • Latest Working - Lists the saved eBOM structure updated to show the most recently created item versions for each of the child items.
    • Latest Released - Lists the eBOM structure it had in its most recent released state.
    • Virtual Latest Released - Lists the saved eBOM structure updated to show the most recent released versions of each child item.
