Compare the release candidate with its previous released version
Within a change request (CR), you may view a comparison between the current release candidate item and its previous released version. This comparison is generated automatically as soon as you send an item to a CR. This enables you and others who may be approving the CR to visually see what has changed in the model. This functionality is not available for the first release of an item since it does not have a previous version to compare to.
To view the 3D comparison:
- Locate and open your desired CR.
- Open the Items tab.
- Click the eye (
) icon at the top of the window.
The 3D Compare viewer opens a 3D model of both compared items, highlighting added features in green and removed features in red. It also enables you to create markups as a way to highlight specific changes if needs be.
