Download and install the CAD importer

This article will show you how to install and connect the CAD Importer desktop application to your Upchain account.

Download the CAD Importer application

  1. Click the arrow icon next to your profile picture at the top right of the screen.
  2. Select Plugins from the drop-down.
    • The Plugins page opens.
  3. Click the Download button next to Upchain CAD Importer to start downloading an installation file.

Now you have downloaded the latest installation file and can proceed with installation.

Note:

The installer works for Windows computers only.

Install CAD Importer

To start installation, run the CAD Importer installation file.

To install CAD Importer:

  1. When you run the CAD Importer installer you will be asked to give permission to run the installer. Click Yes.
  2. Proceed through the installer dialogue with the Next button.
  3. The default destination folder where CAD Importer will install is C:/Program Files/Upchain. You can change it if you want.

After installation is completed you can launch the CAD Importer and connect it to your Upchain account.

Tip:

After the CAD Importer has installed, its icon will be placed on your system tray. You can open the CAD Importer by double clicking on its icon.
