Access item documents

Items may have additional supporting non-CAD documentation. These documents are version-controlled by Upchain and may be downloaded directly from the CAD plugin. This allows you to access the necessary supporting information of an item without having to leave your CAD system.

Download a document from the Project BOM

1. Select the desired project in the context selector.

2. Click the BOM view icon () in the menu bar.

3. Select Project BOM from the drop-down.

4. Click the desired item.

   The lower pane opens.

5. Click the documents tab () in the lower pane and click to expand the supporting documents section.

6. Expand the documents tree until you locate the document you want to download.

   The documents are organized into categories as configured by your Tenant Administrator. Expand each category to find the desired files. Click a document to view its version or select a previous version.

7. Click the download button to download your chosen version.

   Upchain displays a window to indicate where the document has been downloaded to.

8. Click Yes to open the document in its native program.
