Load the latest CAD file version
Upchain is a cloud-based system that enables collaboration among you and your team. As such, it may be the case that, while you have an assembly open in your CAD system, your teammates may work on other components in that assembly, meaning you may be left with outdated information.
There are several ways to update the files you are working with on your local computer.
- Refresh file validation: When you Refresh (or Root Refresh) your CAD plugin, it should present you with a file validation window that indicates what the latest file version is and what version you currently have loaded. You can learn more about this here.
If you choose not to update the file versions using the validation window, you'll see the item highlighted grey with a warning symbol next to it. Place your cursor over the warning symbol to see a message about what the current and latest file versions are.
For items that are highlighted grey, right-click the item in the cBOM view and select from one of the following options:
Download latest item version: Downloads the latest file version in the item version you are currently working with. This means that if there is a newer item version with newer file versions in them, they would be ignored.
Download Latest Version: Downloads the absolute latest file version regardless of what item version you are currently working with.
Download Latest Released Version: Downloads the file version associated with the latest released version of the item.
