Configure Event Notifications

Configure Autodesk Vault for lifecycle state transition and change order email notification.

Send automated emails to notify users when significant events are triggered. For example, if a document is moving from a "Work in Progress" state to a "Review" state, users may want to receive notifications when such changes occur, especially if they are involved in the approval or review process. This ensures that team members are promptly informed when new data is ready for their attention, eliminating the need for direct communication.

Note: This option is only available in Autodesk Vault Professional.

Follow these steps to configure email notification for users when an event occurs:

  1. Set up an email notification account

    Set up an email notification system to send automated emails whenever a state transition occurs.

  2. Configure email notification settings

    Set up email notifications within Vault to alert selected members when a specified lifecycle state transition occurs, using a pre-defined email template.

  3. Customize email notification template

    Create a custom email template for sending email notifications, including the subject line and body in a central location for all users.
