Statement of Scope
This guide is intended to highlight best practice workflows. Only where necessary will configuration and administration settings be highlighted, such as critical settings that enable suggested workflows.
Startup workflows such as installation, Vault configuration, and data loading are not highlighted.
Customer Experience
This guide assumes that you are a key user responsible for creating and maintaining component families. In some cases, you must be an administrator to perform certain configurations.
As a key user, you should have basic knowledge of:
- Inventor iPart and iAssembly workflows
- Factory/Member file and item management
- Revision Tables
- Copy Design workflow
- Item and file configuration
- Vault revision and numbering schemes
- Vault categories
- Vault rename and move workflows.
