Insert Punch Tool from Vault
Use the Punch Tool from Vault command in Inventor to browse a 3D iFeature shape from the Vault to insert into a face on sketch hole center nodes.
Sheet metal punch tools are iFeatures with extra attributes that cut simple or complex hole shapes in the face of your part, including across a bend.
Note: You must have a 2D sketch with at least one hole center point before using the punch command.
On the ribbon, click the Sheet Metal tab > Punch Tool, and select Punch Tool from Vault.
In the Select File from Vault dialog, browse a punch shape and click Open. The Punch Tool dialog opens.
