Content Center Libraries

Learn about using Content Center Libraries in Vault.

Administrative tasks are performed on the computer hosting the Content Center Libraries. Access the server console on the machine hosting the libraries: either on a local Autodesk Inventor installation, or a remote Autodesk data management server.

If the Content Center libraries are installed on a remote server:

  • You must be assigned Editor permissions in the server console to perform any of the editing tasks.
  • You must log into your vault server to perform any editing tasks in the Content Center Editor dialog box in Autodesk Inventor.
  • Access the server console on the remote server to perform administrative tasks.

If the Content Center libraries are installed locally and you are working in a single user environment:

  • You automatically have permissions to perform editing tasks
  • You are automatically logged into the Autodesk data management server on your local drive
  • Access the server console: Start > Programs > Autodesk > Autodesk Data Management > Autodesk Data Management Server Console.

You must be a Content Center Editor to make edits to Content Center libraries in Autodesk Inventor.

You must be a Content Center Administrator to perform Content Center administrative task in the server console.
