Add a Workgroup

Before adding a subscribing Workgroup, a supported version of Microsoft SQL Server must be installed on the Subscribing server.

Note: Do not install Vault server on the subscribing server.
  1. Install Microsoft SQL.
  2. Select the vault instance. You can choose between either the default AUTODESKVAULT instance, or your own vault.
  3. Launch the Vault server console from the publishing server.
  4. Right-click the workgroups node and select Add Workgroup.
  5. In the Add Workgroup dialog enter the required information.
  6. Click OK.
  • Workgroup Name - The name of the new workgroup.
  • Workgroup Label - The unique name for the new workgroup. This name will be tied to all schemes created for this workgroup.
  • Subscriber Server Name - The name of the server with SQL installed for the new workgroup.
  • Remote SQL Credentials - The login credentials for the new SQL server being used for the new workgroup.
  • Remote Replication Credentials - The credentials set up for replication when defined when configuring the publishing server.
