Use Item Versions to View Item Changes

. Item versions can then be viewed on these tabs:
- General Tab
- History Tab
- BOM
- Where Used
Use the Update Item Command to Automatically Create New Items for New Associated Files
Updating an item linked to an assembly file creates a new item for each new file associated with it. If any drawing files that were originally associated with the CAD files are removed, their association with the item is also removed when the item is updated.
Note: Once a file is saved and checked in using AutoCAD Mechanical it will need to be only opened and checked in from AutoCAD Mechanical to continue to send item data. Saving an AutoCAD Mechanical DWG using AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT will remove any existing item data from the DWG and cause item assignment to fail.
