Pause or Resume a Vault Gateway

Vault Gateway allows administrators to temporarily limit access to the local gateway service with pause or resume operation.

When a gateway is paused, team members can't use the gateway URL to connect to the vault. Unlike when an administrator deletes a gateway, the URL remains valid for team members to use when access to the gateway is resumed. Pausing a service causes it to suspend operation but doesn't remove the service. Resume a paused service to continue functioning.

To pause or resume access to a gateway:

1. In the ADMS Console, click the Tools option in the menu bar.
2. Select Manage Vault Gateway. If you're not signed in, you will be prompted to sign into an administrator account.
3. The Local Gateway section contains either a Pause or Resume button.
   1. Click Pause to stop access to the gateway URL.
   2. Click Resume to restore access to the gateway URL.
