Configure Vault Connector Mappings

After enabling the connector, an administrator must configure the mapping settings within the Vault Client. This involves selecting the target Fusion Manage workspace and defining how Vault Item properties correspond to the properties in Fusion Manage.

Prerequisites:

  • The Vault Connector must be enabled in the ADMS Console.
  • You must have a revision-controlled workspace in Fusion Manage designated for the sync.
  • A Fusion Manage out-of-the-box Items workspace (previously known as Items and BOMs) is to be used for the integration.
  • Vault Items must be in use since the connector will synchronize with FM at the Item level.
  • Additional Property mapping between Fusion Manage and Vault Items, if any. (Other than out-of-the-box)
  • The target Fusion Manage workspace must contain the following system properties. These are essential for the connector to function correctly:
    • IMAGE
    • PDM_SOURCE_TYPE
    • PDM_SOURCE_ID
    • PDM_ITEM_ID
    • PDM_ITEM_VERSION
    • PDM_MASTER_ID
    • PDM_SOURCE_NAME
    • PDM_VAULT_NAME
    • SOURCE
  • Only roles with these permissions in both Vault and Fusion Manage will be able to configure these mappings:
    • "Vault Option Set / Get" in Vault.
    • Read / Write Permissions to the Fusion Manage Workspace.
