Configure attachment synchronization
Configure which file attachments synchronize from Vault to Fusion Manage when Items are synced. You can control attachment types, linked files, and specific file extensions to include in the synchronization.
Access the Vault Connector configuration dialog:
Navigate to Tools > Administration > Vault Settings, then select the Collaborate tab and click Configure in the Vault Connector Management section.
Navigate to the Attachments tab:
In the Vault Connector configuration dialog, click the Attachments tab.
(Optional) Enable design representation attachments:
Select the Design representation attachments checkbox to sync design file representations.
When enabled, select which linked files to include:
- Primary Linked Files - Includes primary file references.
- Tertiary Linked Files - Includes tertiary file references.
Both options are available when design representation attachments are enabled.
(Optional) Enable design visualization attachments:
Select the Design visualization attachments checkbox to sync visualization files.
When enabled, select which linked files to include:
- Primary Linked Files - Includes primary visualization file references.
- Tertiary Linked Files - Includes tertiary visualization file references.
Both options are available when design visualization attachments are enabled.
(Optional) Enable direct attachments:
Select the Direct attachments on Items checkbox to sync files directly attached to Items in Vault.
(Optional) Configure file extension filters for direct attachments:
When direct attachments are enabled, specify which file types to sync:
From the File extensions to sync dropdown, select the file extensions to include.
Multiple file extensions can be selected.
To include custom file extensions not in the list, select the Others checkbox and enter the file extensions in the text field.
Common file extensions include standard CAD formats, documents, and images.
Save the attachment configuration:
Click Apply to save your settings.
The Vault Connector now synchronizes the specified attachments from Vault to Fusion Manage during Item synchronization.
Default configuration
By default, the Vault Connector includes:
- All attachment types enabled (design representation, design visualization, and direct attachments)
- Primary and tertiary linked files selected for both design representations and visualizations
- All standard file extensions selected for direct attachments
When no attachment checkboxes are selected, the Vault Connector does not upload any attachments to Fusion Manage.
