The Vault mobile app can preview several different file types. If the mobile app doesn't support a file type, you can open it in another mobile app or download it.
To view the contents of a file in the vault:
- In the Vault mobile app, select the Project Explorer tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Select a file to view its details.
- In the file details, select View.
Viewing options depend on the file type:
- The Vault mobile app previews CAD files with viewable 2D or 3D geometry using the app's viewer.
- The built-in viewer supports many other common file types (for example, PDFs and Microsoft Office files).
- If the Vault mobile app doesn't support a file type, you can select from a list of other mobile apps on your device.
Note: If a file visualization isn't locally available, you can schedule a job to create a DWF file. You also have the option to download the file to your device.
