How do I know that I have access to the Vault mobile app?
Go to manage.autodesk.com and sign into your Autodesk ID.
In the Account menu, expand the section Products and Services and click All Products and Services. Vault - mobile app (Included) indicates that your account can access the app.
How can I give feedback on the Vault mobile app?

Does Autodesk collect my usage data in the Vault mobile app?
Yes. You can opt out of sending usage reports in the Settings tab in the Vault mobile app.
What Vault edition does the Vault mobile app connect with?
The Vault mobile app connects to Vault Professional servers, requiring a Vault Professional or Vault Office subscription.
What devices does the Vault mobile app work with?
The app is currently available for Apple devices using iOS version 12 and higher and Android devices using Android version 8.0 and higher.
What is the authorization method?
An Autodesk ID is required.
What are the Vault server requirements? Direct internet access? SSL/TLS enabled?
There are no Vault server configuration requirements that are required to use the Vault mobile app.
Is the data encrypted when it moves from the mobile device to the Vault server?
The administrator has to configure SSL on the server for communications to be encrypted. Then the mobile device has a setting for SSL communications. Adjust vault connection settings to manage SSL.
Is the Vault mobile app only available via the Apple App Store or is it also distributed independently?
The Vault mobile app is publicly available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Updates to the app are available in your device's app marketplace.
Do you need internet access to view CAD files?
Yes, internet access is required to view documents that cannot be opened using an app on your device.
When viewing files, such as ".step," ".ipt," and PDF, does the file upload to Autodesk Cloud before it is viewed?
If the file needs to be translated, it will be uploaded to the cloud. Other files, such as PDF and Microsoft Office, are opened locally.
Can you add comments to a change order in the Vault mobile app?
Yes, you can view and add comments to a change order.
Does the mobile device cache PDFs once checked out?
No, it doesn't automatically cache any files on the mobile device. You can save individual files locally to the mobile app as needed.
Can you generate links in the Vault mobile app to open a given dataset?
Yes, you can generate links within the Vault mobile app and send them directly via email or other communication tools. Links only open datasets on a desktop PC with the Vault Client installed.
Will the admin be able to prevent activities like printing from the mobile device?
There are currently no admin controls for Vault mobile app. This may come as a future enhancement.
Will there be an additional security role added to allow mobile access?
No.
Can you create a new project with folders using the app and upload files (to share files with engineering while being on site at a customer)?
You can create a folder and subfolder within the app and upload files.
Which server does the mobile app access in a fully replicated environment?
Servers are selected directly by entering the server address when you sign in to the Vault mobile app. You can change your selection later by adjusting vault connection settings.
Does the mobile application have a local workspace like the Vault client?
No, it isn't meant to be used for fully editing CAD files. It uses the device's local storage for downloading files.
Can you edit properties in the application?
No, you can't edit properties in the mobile app. You can view properties for each object type (for example, view item properties) and arrange the order that they display in.
Can I use the Vault mobile app with the AutoCAD mobile app?
Yes. Adding a file from the AutoCAD mobile app to the Vault mobile app doesn't include CAD references. The administrator must turn off the setting Disable Check in of Design Files in the Vault Client to enable this workflow.
