Model Simplification for Inventor
Model Simplification for Inventor® helps teams prepare detailed equipment models for use in larger 3D factory layouts and federated coordination models. It creates lightweight representations from source models, reducing geometric complexity while retaining representations for different levels of detail.
The plugin uses Inventor model states to simplify part geometry, create bounding-box or cylindrical envelopes, suppress small assembly components, and apply low-detail states across the model hierarchy. These capabilities reduce manual preparation effort, decrease model complexity and file size, and support more efficient performance in downstream layout and coordination workflows.
