Changes to The Wild & Prospect by IrisVR

Overview

On September 30th, 2025, The Wild & Prospect subscriptions will no longer be renewed. As a result, when your subscription ends, your access to The Wild or Prospect will also end. To offer customers a continual XR journey, we encourage them to explore Autodesk Workshop XR.

Questions and Answers

1. What is happening to The Wild & Prospect?

Autodesk will cease further renewal of subscriptions for The Wild and Prospect. Customers will no longer be able to renew their existing subscriptions.

2. Why are renewals ending with The Wild & Prospect?

Due to Autodesk’s acquisition of The Wild / Prospect in 2022, Autodesk has committed to continue developing a VR product that can best elevate project reviews with a direct connection to Autodesk Construction Cloud.

3. What will happen to my data?

Your data, including projects in the cloud, will remain accessible while your subscription is active. Once your subscription ends, all your data will be deleted and no longer accessible. This includes both user data and project/model data. Your subscription will end automatically at the end of its current term.

4. Can I back up my data?

Below specifies which data can be backed up for each product:

Prospect:

  • Project data that can be backed up:

    • Issues
    • Screenshots

  • Project data that cannot be backed up:

    • Models (Prospect uses a proprietary file format to view your models. This conversion takes place during import. As it is a proprietary file format, you will be unable to view these models in another application.)

The Wild:

  • Project data that can be backed up:

    • All models (referred to as “Spaces”)
    • All comments in a “Space”

  • Project data that cannot be backed up:

    • All files in “Assets & Collections”

5. What options are available for The Wild & Prospect Customers?

With the end of renewal for The Wild and Prospect, Autodesk Workshop XR Free Trials are available. We encourage you to sign up for a trial of Workshop XR, and experience our new path for design review collaboration and continue to be a valuable part of XR’s future."

6. What is Autodesk Workshop XR?
