Enter a Workshop in VR with Autodesk Workshop XR

  1. Launch Autodesk Workshop XR: Start your immersive journey by opening the Workshop XR application on your VR device.

  1. Select Your Project: Choose the specific project you are planning to enter.

  1. Enter Your Workshop: After selecting your project, locate the specific workshop you wish to enter. Click ‘Enter’.

Before you enter the workshop, Workshop XR offers several customization options:

  • Preview Your Avatar: Prior to entering a workshop, you have the opportunity to view and even edit your avatar. This feature may help your virtual representation align with your expectations.
  • Change Your Display Name: Prior to entering a workshop you have the opportunity to edit the name displayed when you enter a workshop, which will be visible above your avatar and in the people menu.
  • Select Dominant Hand: This setting is crucial because it determines the hand you'll mostly use for carrying out primary actions and interactions within Workshop XR. So, it's important to set it based on your preference.
