How to: Install Autodesk Workshop XR

It's time to get Autodesk Workshop XR up and running. Whether you're a VR pro or just beginning your journey, we've got you covered. There are two straightforward paths to install your app - either directly through your Meta Quest headset or via the Meta Quest Store website. This guide will walk you through both methods, ensuring your journey into VR is as smooth as possible.

Installing Autodesk Workshop XR from the Meta Quest Store in Headset

  1. Turn on your Meta Quest headset: Make sure your headset is fully charged or connected to a power source.
  2. Access the App Library: From the home screen in VR, select the grid icon on your Universal Menu to open the App Library.
  3. Open the Meta Quest Store: In the App Library, find and select the Meta Quest Store icon.
  4. Search for Workshop XR: Use the search bar to search for Autodesk Workshop XR.
  5. Select Workshop XR: Click on the Workshop XR app to view its details.
  6. Download the App: Click on the download button.
  7. Install the App: The app will begin to download and install automatically. You can check the progress in your App Library.
  8. Launch the App: After installation, the app will appear in your App Library. Select it to launch and start using it.

Installing Autodesk Workshop XR from the Meta Quest Store using the Website

  1. Visit the Meta Quest Store Website: Go to Meta Quest Store on your computer or mobile browser.
  2. Log In to Your Meta Account: Make sure you are logged in with the same account linked to your Meta Quest headset.
  3. Search for Workshop XR: Use the search bar to search for Workshop XR.
  4. Select Workshop XR: Autodesk Workshop XR will appear in your search results. Click on the app to view more details.
  5. Download the App: Click on the download button.
  6. Send the App to Your Headset: After the purchase, you will have the option to "Install on [Your Device]". Click this to send the app to your headset.
  7. Complete Installation in the Headset: Put on your headset and go to your App Library. The app should begin downloading automatically if it's not already installed. You can check the progress in the App Library.
  8. Launch Workshop XR: Once the app is installed, you can find it in your App Library. Select it to launch and start using it.
