Issue:
Regardless of the selected view, the rendering workspace in Fusion 360 only allows to render a design from its exterior. How to position the camera to allow a rendering of an interior space?Solution:
Follow one of the suggestions below to render the interior space of a Fusion 360 design:
Zoom in through an exterior part
- In the "Render" workspace, go to "Setup" -> "Scene Settings" -> Camera.
- Make sure that "Perspective" or "Perspective with Ortho Faces" is selected.
- Zoom in through the exterior part to see behind it.
- Change the "Focal Length" for the Camera settings to achieve the desired view.
Cut out a part of the design
- Go to the "Design" workspace
- Construct a plane at a distance from the design.
- Create a sketch to cover the entire design.
- Extrude the sketch to cut a part out to see its interior.
