Issue:
How to perform a clean uninstall of Autodesk programs on macOS.
Environment:
macOS.Solution:
To remove all Autodesk software from your macOS, do the following:
- Uninstalling all the Autodesk software you have installed by using the "Remove..." application.
(Alternatively, by right-clicking the program and choosing Move to Trash).
- Click 'Go' in the Finder menu bar.
- Select "Computer" and navigate to the following files and folders to remove them:
- /Library/Application Support/Autodesk.
- com.autodesk.adskaccessservicehost.plist and com.autodesk.AdskLicensingService.plist in /Library/LaunchDaemons.
- /Library/Logs/Autodesk.
- Click 'Go' in the Finder menu bar, and hold down the 'Option' (Alt) key.
- The Library entry should now appear in the Finder > Go menu.
- Click Library directly opens the hidden User Library folder in a new Finder window.
- Navigate the following files and folders and remove them:
- /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/AdSSO-v2.
- /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk.
- /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk Installer.
- /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/Autodesk.
- /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/Autodesk Installer.
- All the com.autodesk.* files in /Users/<username>/Library/Logs.
- All the com.autodesk.* files in /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences.
- Reboot the system.
