Issue:
Users reported that access to the online services for Autodesk® Fusion™ is required:
- A proxy server, firewall, or anti-virus software may be interfering with the normal operation.
- Looking for a list of domains and ports that Fusion uses during normal operation to help configure the network.
Causes:
The data panel uses an embedded web browser component based on Google Chrome, which always uses the default system proxy configuration settings. The Fusion login process also uses the default system proxy configuration. Other parts of the software, specifically our interactions with the data management service and the file upload system rely on the settings in the Fusion Preferences.Solution:
Required Ports
- 80
- 443
Required Domains
Unrestricted access to the following domains (the following domains have anonymous access through the proxy server for installation)
- *.autodesk.com
- *.autodesk360.com
- *.appstreaming.autodesk.com
- *.api.autodesk.com
- *.cloudfront.net
Fusion may contact the following servers during normal operations:
- accounts.autodesk.com
- appstreaming.autodesk.com
- fusionapi.autodesk.com
- notifications.api.autodesk.com
- ui-dls360.autodesk.com
- signin.autodesk.com
- idp.auth.autodesk.com
- autodesk360.com
- amazonaws.com
- akamai.com
- akamaitechnologies.com
- tracepartsonline.net
- mcmaster.com
- *.s3.amazonaws.com
- *.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com
- *.launchdarkly.com
- damassets.net
- *.library.io
- pubnub.com
- pndsn.com
- requirejs.org
- google-analytics.com
- googletagmanager.com
- api.hcaptcha.com
Note: Proxy applications may require special notation (for example, *.*.autodesk.com) to enable wildcards for the domains. Some domains have dynamic IP addresses, any exceptions added to firewalls or proxy servers must configured by domain name and not the IP address.
Configuring Firewall or Proxy servers
Work with network administrator to determine the proper procedure to configure the network for access to these ports and domains. To configure your firewall or proxy server for Fusion, see the below solution articles:
- How to configure proxy server and firewall for Fusion (Windows)
- How to configure proxy server and firewall for Fusion (macOS)
- Which URLs/Protocols need to be allowed for Autodesk Subscription Licensing
Note: There are known limitation if the proxy server needs to be authenticated against and it uses the ‘Negotiate’, ‘NTLM’, or ‘Kerberos’ authentication method. The only workaround is to add that list of hosts to the exception list of the proxy server.
Fusion Network Diagnostic
To check the current status of any ports and domains used in Fusion, run the network diagnostic test command in the Service Utility. See: Overview of Network Diagnostic Test Command from Fusion Service Utility
