Microsoft will end mainstream support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. From this date forward, Microsoft will cease technical assistance and development for Windows 10.
What does end of support mean for Windows 10 and Fusion?
Fusion will continue to work on Windows 10 after the 14th - however, Autodesk will no longer consider Windows 10 for validation, bug fixing, and product support of future releases. Application compatibility and support will not be guaranteed for this platform for releases after this date.
Why is Autodesk ending support for Fusion on Windows 10?
End of support for an operating system applies not just to end users, but application developers, too. It is difficult for Autodesk to ensure quality and functionality on a platform that is no longer receiving the latest security and framework updates utilized by newer versions of Windows.
Can I upgrade my existing device to Windows 11?
This will depend on your specific device hardware. See Windows 11 specs, features, and computer requirements for more information.
My current device cannot run a newer version of Windows - what requirements should I look for in a new device?
Will Fusion support Windows 10 LTS builds beyond October 2025?
No, Fusion follows Microsoft’s General Availability Channel for Windows Enterprise and Education editions. Long-Term Servicing builds are targeted towards embedded devices and microcontrollers, such as those used in industrial, medical, and financial device deployments – Autodesk Fusion is not designed for these systems.
